DOORS Data Records

   Minimize

Required metadata for each DOORS data record:

  • the resource label with a globally unique URI (or IRI) enabling non-semantic string queries of labels;
  • the resource location with a URL (or IDN), possibly the same as the URI (or IRI) if resolvable, and any associated URLs (or IDNs) enabling query responses;
  • the record provenance with identification of the
    • resource owner,
    • authoritative primary PORTAL registry, and
    • authoritative primary DOORS directory;
  • the record distribution with parameters for time-to-live caching and expiring as well as extent of redistribution for non-authoritative secondary DOORS directories.
Permitted metadata for each DOORS data record:
  • the resource tags, if registered at the governing registry, including a tokenized name and/or phrases enabling non-semantic string queries of tags;
  • the resource description with an RDF mini-document, a collection of RDF triples that reference OWL ontologies, enabling semantic reasoning queries of descriptions;
  • the record signature with XML-Signatures for the
    • resource owner,
    • authoritative primary PORTAL registry, and
    • authoritative primary DOORS directory.
